William & Dicey Jackson to Marshall Lockridge Deed Book H Page 402

This Indenture made and entered into this 28th day of December 1852 between William Jackson of one part and Marshall Lockridge of the other part both of the county of Hickman and State of Kentucky. Witnesseth that the said William Jackson for and in consideration of the sum of Four hundred and seventy five dollars that is four hundred dollars in hand and his note of this date payable on the 25 day of December 1853 for seventy five dollars, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain sell and convey unto said Marshall Lockridge his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county of Hickman and state of Kentucky and bounded as follows; Beginning at the Southeast corner of section 12 Township 3 Range 3 West thence North 105 poles to a stake and frost oak thence West 161 poles to a red elm then South ¼ West 104 ½ poles to a post office thence east 161 poles to the beginning containing by survey one hundred and five acres to have and to hold unto the said Marshall Lockridge his heirs and assigns forever and the said William Jackson covenant and agrees to warrant and defend the title to the said land and its appurtenances to said Marshall Lockridge with General Warrenty. In Testimony of which the said William Jackson together with Dicey Jackson his wife who hereby relinquishes her right of dower in and to said land have hereunto set their hands this date above written.

I G. Wm Rennich clerk of the Hickman County court in the State of Kentucky do certify that this deed from Wm Jackson and Dicey Jackson his wife to Marshall Lockridge was on the 28th day of December 1852 acknowledged by me in my office by said Wm Jackson and on the 28th day of December 1852 by said Dicey Jackson to be their act and deed and that said deed with this certificate has been duly recorded in my office. Given under my hand this 6th day of January 1853.
