Nathan & Elizabeth Jackson to William S Jackson - Deed Book H Page 239

This Indenture made and entered into this 17th March between Nathan Jackson of the county of Hickman and Sate of Kentucky and William S Jackson of the county and the state aforesaid of the second part. Witnesseth  that the said Nathan Jackson who is the party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and twenty five dollars in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged hath this day granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell alien convey and confirm unto me and Wm S Jackson party of the second part all his right title interest in and to the foregoing described tract or parcel of land to wit. Beginning at the Northwest corner of the South East quarter of section four township two range two west in Hickman Co KY thence South eighty poles with the bearing of the lines to a stake and pointers, thence east one hundred poles to a corner thence north eighty poles to the north boundary line of said quarter section thence west one hundred poles to the beginning containing in all fifty acres more or less lying in Hickman County Kentucky to have and to hold unto him the said Wm S Jackson his heirs and assigns forever together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining. And the said Nathan Jackson party of the first part the right and title to he aforesaid land unto the said Wm S Jackson his heirs and assigns for himself his heirs, executors and administrators covenants and agrees to warrant and forever defend from the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever. In Testimony whereof the said N Jackson together with Elizabeth his wife who hereby relinquishes her rights of dower hath hereunto set his hand and offered his seal the day and date above mentioned.

I G. Wm Rennich Ch Clerk of the Hickman County Court in the State of Kentucky do certify that this deed from Nathan Jackson and wife to William S Jackson was on the 17 day of March 1857 acknowledged before my predecessor in his office by said Nathan Jackson to be his act and deed as appeared from an endorsement thereon in the hand writing of his authorized deputy in these words “Acknowledged Mar 17 1857," and the said deed with this certificate has been duly recorded in my office. Given under my hand this 26 day of November 1857.
