Nathan Jackson to William Jackson Deed of Mortgage - Deed Book G Page 219

Know all men by these presents that I Nathan Jackson of the county of Hickman and Sate of Kentucky have this day bargained sold and conveyed of the same County & state aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged the following described property to wit all my present crop of growing corn, cotton and all my stock of hogs. The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the above bound Nathan stands justly indebted to said William in the sum of twenty five dollars due by account and the said William being the security of said Nathan on one note to Ben Ridge for some five dollars and also his security in a note to S.C. Neville for about the sum of seventeen dollars. Now if the above bound Nathan shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid to the said William the aforesaid account on or before the 25th day of December next and also save harmless the said William by reason of his said surety ship then the above obligation to be void otherwise remain in full force. Given under my hand and seal thus 7th day of June 1847.

I, WHH Taylor clerk of the county court for the county aforesaid certify that this deed of mortgage from Nathan Jackson to William Jackson was on the 29 day of June 1847 produced to me in my office and acknowledged by the said Nathan Jackson to be his act and deed. Whereupon the said mortgage together with this certificate hath bee duly admitted to record in my office. Given under my hand this 12th day of July 1847.
