A.S. Tyler to William C Dowdy - Deed Book C Page 81

This indenture made and entered into this tenth day of April one thousand eight hundred and thirty five.. Between A. S. Tyler of the county of Hickman and State of Kentucky of the one part and William C Dowdy of the county & state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that  for and in consideration of the sum of Three hundred & seventy five dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is herewith acknowledged. Hath granted and sold and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto the said William C Dowdy his heirs and assigns part of the south east quarter of section thirty five township one range four west of the meridian and bounded as follows to wit; beginning at the half mile tree on the east boundary of the said section thirty five thence south 164 poles to the south east corner of said section 35, on the state line thence west with the state line 84 poles to a black gum thence north 80 poles to a stake in a field thence west 80 poles to am elm & two gums in the edge of a pond thence north 84 poles to a stake thence east 160 poles to the beginning containing one hundred & twenty six acres be the same more or less together with all & singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to have and to hold the land hereby conveyed with the appurtenances unto the said William C Dowdy his heirs or assigns forever. And the said A.S. Tyler for himself his heirs executors or administrators the aforesaid tract of land and the appurtenances unto the said William C Dowdy his heirs or assigns against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever, doth and will forever warrant & defend by these presents. In witness whereof the said A.S. Tyler hath hereunto set his hand & seal this day and date above written.

Hickman County set:

I, Henry L Edrington, clerk of the county court for the county aforesaid do certify that the foregoing deed from A.S. Tyler to William C Dowdy was produced to me on the 7th day of December 1835 and acknowledged by the said A.S. Tyler to be his act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned. Whereupon the same was admitted to record. In testimony that I have recorded the same together with foregoing, I have hereunto set my hand this 16th day of December 1835.
