Rick & Blanche Hill to Samuel R Seay - Deed Book C Page 13

This indenture was entered into this 3rd day of September 1835 between Rick H. Hill & wife of the County of Hickman and state of Kentucky of the first part and Samuel R Seay of the aforesaid county and state of the other part. Witnesseth the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars to me in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and sold unto the said Seay his heirs and assigns the south east quarter of section six township two & Range two west together with its appurtenances unto the said Seay his heirs and assigns forever, and free from our selves our heirs and assigns or any and every person else. In testimony whereof we hereunto set our hands and seals this day and date above written.

Hickman County to wit:

I, Henry L Edrington clerk of the county court for the county aforesaid do certify that this deed from Richard H Hill and Blanc Hill his wife to Samuel B Seay was produced to me on the 3rd day of September 1835 by the said grantors and acknowledged by the said Richard H Hill to be his act and deed and the said Blanc Hill being examined by me privily and apart from her husband declared that she did freely and willingly seal and deliver the said writing and wishes not to retract it and acknowledged the writing again shown and explained to her to be her act and deed and consenteth that the same may be recorded. Whereupon the said Deed together with the foregoing certificate hath been duly recorded in my office. Given under my hand this 1st day of October 1835.   H.L. Edrington
