This Indenture made and entered into this thirteenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight between William N Fleace of the county of Hickman and State of Kentucky of the one part and James Gwyn of the County of Woodford and state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said William N Fleace the party of the first part hath this day for and in consideration of the sum of One hundred and seventy five dollars to him in hand paid by the said James Gwyn the partie of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged granted and bargained sold conveyed and confirmed to the said James Gwyn one certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the county of Hickman and the state aforesaid containing one hundred and sixty acres it being the south west quarter of section thirty township two range two west it being patented by the Commonwealth of Kentucky to the said William N Fleace by a patent bareing date the 15th day of January 1828 which said tract or parcel of land with all and singular the appurtenances and Emoluments thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining thereunto I the said William N Fleece  do and will forever warrant and defend the title thereof to the said James Gwyn his heirs and against me my heirs and be in as full and ample manner in all respects whatsoever as the state aforesaid hath conveyed to me by virtue of the patent aforesaid.

In witness whereof I the said William N Fleece hath hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal at the Town of Columbus in the county of Hickman this day and year first above written.

Hickman County

I   Henry L Edrington clerk of the court for the county aforesaid do hereby certify that the within deed from William Fleece to James Gwyn was this day acknowledged by the said William Fleece to be his act and Deed whereupon the same together with this certificate is truly recorded in my office. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 13th day of October 1828.
