Know all men by these presents that I James H Arrington have this day Sold unto James Bose a Negro man and a Negro woman by the names of Allen & Morea for four hundred dollars receipt and payment whereof is hereby acknowledged and fully satisfied contented and paid and do for myself and my heirs executors administrators or assigns warrant the said Negroes to be sound in body and mind and good titles and of the age of twenty seven years Allen and Morea fifty six. Witness my hand and seal this the 17th day of January 1832.                           Jas H Arrington {seal}

 

State of Kentucky

Hickman County set

I  Henry L Edrington clerk of the county court for the county aforesaid do certify that on the 4th day of February 1832 the foregoing bill of sale from Jas H Arrington to James Bose was produced to me and acknowledged by the said Arrington to be his act and deed for the purposes therein contained thereupon the same is admitted to record.

In testimony that I have recorded the same I have together with this certificate hereunto set my hand this 15th day of August 1832.  HL Edrington
