Trustees of Clinton deed to Davis and heirs

This indenture made and entered into this 7th day of May 1831 between the undersigned Trustees of the Town of Clinton Hickman County, Kentucky of the one part and Mary Ann Davis, widow, and Joseph Smith and Sarah his wife, late Sarah Davis, Chesley Jossling and Dolinda P. his wife late Dolinda P. Davis, Elizabeth Davis, Samuel Davis, Lyddia Davis and Susan Tarpley late Susan Davis, heirs of Samuel Davis, dec’d of the other part, Witnesseth that the said Trustees for and in consideration of the sum of Thirty seven dollars do them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant, bargain and sell to the said party of the second part their heirs and assigns a certain lot or parcel of ground situate lying and being in the Town, County and State afor’d, known and designated on the plan of said town by its [illegible] to wit, then do have and to hold the said lot or parcel of ground with all and singulars it appurtenances to the said party of the second part their heirs or assigns forever. In testimony whereof the said Trustees have hereunto set their hands the day and date above written.

Kentucky Hickman County seat} I Henry L. Edington Clk of the County af’d do hereby certify that the within deed from the undersigned Trustees of the Town of Clinton to Mary Ann Davis, widow, and Joseph Smith and Sarah his wife, late Sarah Davis, chesley A. Topling and Dolinda P. his wife late Dolinda P. Davis, Elizabeth Davis, Samuel Davis, Lyddia Davis and Susan Tarply late Susan Davis was on the 7th day of Jay 1831 produced to me in my office and acknowledged by the said Trustees to be their acts and deed to the purposes therein mentioned and thereupon do same together with this certificate are truly recorded in my office in Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 9th day of May 1831.
