Owen S Jackson to Hugh S Guyn/Gwyn; Deed Book A Pages 150-151

This Indenture made this 17th day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred twenty and nine made between Owen S Jackson of the county of Hickman and Commonwealth of Kentucky of the one part and Hugh S. Guyn of the county of Woodford and commonwealth of the aforesaid of the other part. Witnessed that the said Owen S Jackson for the in consideration of two hundred and sixty dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold unto the said Hugh S Guyn his heirs and assigns all that tract of space of land situated and being in the county of Hickman on the water of Byodisho and bonded as (foll?) ours to wit North West quarter of section thirty five township two Range (?) West Beginning at two elms and sweet gum thinned South one hundred and sixty poles to a black oak and poplar thinned West one hundred and sixty poles to a stake then North one hundred and sixty poles to a stake then East one hundred and twenty poles to the beginning corner. Containing one hundred and twenty acres be the same in one or life together with all and singular the appertained as therein to be (lougin?) or in any wise appertaining to Land and to hold the said land hereby conveyed with the appertainercis unto the Hugh S Guyn his heirs and assigns forever and for said Owen S Jackson for himself his heirs executors and administrations of aforesaid tract of land appertained unto the said Hugh S Guyn his hears and assigns forever by these present. In witness where of the said (X) Owen S Jackson together with Martha Jackson his wife who hereby relinquishes her right of dower in and for the land conveyed in this deed hath hereunto set their hand and seals the day and date first above written

 We Jarrett Wilingham and Demsey White two of the Commonwealth Justices of the peace for the said county of Hickman do certify that Martha Jackson the wife of the written Owen S Jackson this day personally appeared before us. Who bearing examined privately and apart from her husband as the law directs voluntarily with her own free will and consent relinquishes her right of dower to the premises conveyed by this deed and the same is certified to the clerk of the County Court for the county of Hickman for records where the premises by given under own hands and seals this 17th October 1829

 State of Kentucky Hickman County set –

I Henry L Edington clerk of the county court for the county aforesaid do certify that this deed from Owen S Jackson and Martha Jackson his wife to Hugh S Guyn was on the 7th day of December 1829 produced to me and (farview?) by the oaths of Jarrett Willingham and Demsey White subscribing witnesses thereto to be the act and deed of the said Owen S Jackson and his wife Martha and is admitted to record in my office. In testimony that I have recorded the same together with the certificate of Jarrett Willingham and Demsey White and this I hereto set my hand this 10th day of December 1829. H.L. Edrington
