She was born September 11, 1913, in Dwale, Ky., the daughter of the late John C. and Lou Ellen Lafferty Branham. Her husband, Harry Rabin, preceded her in death in April 1991. Mrs. Rabin is survived by her loving family: Bennie (Christine) Branham of Circleville, Ohio, Judy Branham of Wilmington, Ohio, Susie Branham Gregory of Wilmington, Ohio, Cheryl Branham (Jerry) Webb of Wilmington, Ohio, Yolonda Branham Kraner of Martinsville, Ohio, Jonna Branham Briggs of Leesburg, Ohio, Stephanie Evans (Keith) Addington of Hillsboro, Ohio, Rosie (James) Clark of Flatwoods, Ky.; grandchildren, Kicole Branham Chisman, Danica Branham (Tony) Sharrock, Eric Franz, Alisha Briggs, Megan Hayslip, Kristen Gregory, Stephenie Gregory, Dr. Chad (Jennifer) Webb, Jeremiah Webb, Benjamin Webb, Evan Webb, Levi Kraner, Tiffany Kraner; great-grandson, Tyler Chisman; special friend, Agnes Cummings of Wilmington, Ohio; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and other extended family members. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Rabin was preceded in death by four brothers, William "Bill" Branham, Claude Branham, Arthur Branham, and Bennie Branham; and four sisters, Nancy Johnson, Margaret Clark, Artie Kincaid, and Nell Broyles. Mrs. Rabin retired from Twin Fair Department Store. She was a member of the Highland County Senior Citizen"s Center. Judy gave her entire life caring for others. She also loved cooking, quilting, and sewing. Services will be held, 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 1, 2001, at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio, with Rev. Tim Clark officiating. A graveside service will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park, Cincinnati, Ohio, at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 1, 2001. Visitation was at the funeral home. Age 75, of Britton Michigan, died March 29, 2003, at his residence in Britton. He was born February 4, 1928, ,the son of John and Lilly (Smith) Rainey in Wheelwright, Kentucky. He was married to Stella M. Hall, and she preceded him in death. Survivors include one grandson, John Flint; three sisters Edna, Ruth, and Jean, all of Kentucky, and his mother-in-law, who was his best friend, Maggie Hall of Britton. In addition to his wife, Stella, he was preceded in death by his parents; one son Charles R. Rainey Jr.; daughter Elizabeth Ann Flint; six sisters, and three brothers. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, at the Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh, with the Rev. Richard Bruce officiating. Interment was at Ridgeway Cemetery, Ridgeway, Michigan. Born February 15, 1925, in Knott County, he was the son of the late Willie and Lue Birdie Sparkman Ramey. He was a retired carpenter. Survivors include a son, Ruben Ramey of Somerset; and a sister, Cora Ramey of Lackey. Funeral services were held Monday, August 7, at noon, at Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin, with Old Regular Baptist ministers officiating. Age, 59, of Garrett, died Wednesday, November 27, 2002, at the Pikeville Methodist Hospital. Born April 1, 1943, in Monticello, he was the son of the late Arnold Ramsey and Mildred Cooper Ramsey. He was a heavy equipment operator for Allen Land Improvement, at Martin; and a member of Mill Springs Methodist Church, at Mill Springs. He is survived by his wife, Lois Howard Ramsey. Other survivors include one son, Kirk Ramsey; wife, Susan, of Lexington; one sister, Carole Jackson of Kingsport, Tennessee; grandchildren, Dakota Ramsey, and Sierha Hardin; a special cousin, Linda Dunagan of Monticello; a special aunt, Jean Ramsey of Monticello. He was an automobile dealer, the owner of Competitive Classics, a member of Zebulon Masonic Lodge No. 273, Prestonsburg, and the First United Methodist Church, Prestonsburg. In addition to his mother, Peggy Ann Spradlin Vital of Coral Gables, Florida, he is survived by two sisters: Toni Kay Edwards of Rockfield and Lea Ranier Warner of Lexington; two brothers: Lorin D. Ranier of Davidson, North Carolina and Rick Morgan of Charleston, West Virginia; his grandmother, Phyllis H. RASNICK, Rebecca Moore

Age, 94, of Lexington, Ky., died Thurs-day, March 28, 2002, at the Christian Health Center, following an extended illness. Born on August 19, 1907, in Mousie, Ky., she was the daughter of the late John Wesley Moore and Geneva Martin Moore. She was a former bookkeeper for the Floyd County School Board. She lived in Prestonsburg for more than 40 years before moving to Lexington. She was a member of the First Baptist Church (Irene Cole Memorial), a member of the Eastern Star, Adah Chapter 24, and a member of the Miriam Rebekah Lodge No. 31. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Rasnick. Survivors include one grandson, Frank Harris of Lexington, Ky.; two granddaughters, Sandra H. Palmer and Rebecca Harris, both of Lexington, Ky.; two great-granddaughters, Rebecca Palmer and Sarah Palmer, both of Lexington, Ky. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Joyce Rasnick Harris. Age, 72, of Daytona, Beach, Florida, formerly of Prestonsburg, died Sunday, June 1, 2008, at Halifax Medical Center, Port Orange, Florida. Born July 10, 1935, in Paintsville, he was the son of the late Tony and Regeina Echols Ranier. He was a retired Pikeville Post No. 9 State Trooper; a former 2-term city councilman and police commissioner for City of Prestonsburg; a former Prestonsburg city police officer; a gunsmith by trade; a US Army veteran; and a member of the American Legion and Amvets. He is survived by his wife, Harrietta Bowens Ranier. Other survivors include two daughters and son-in-law: Deborah Ann Ranier of Virginia; and Regina Michelle (Daniel) Sprague of Daytona Beach, Florida; two grandchildren: Ciara Elise Sprague and Maegan Leighann Sprague. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters: Harry Bruno Ranier, Blanche Hall, Rose Margaret Ranier, and Toodles Ranier. Age 58, of Mt. Sterling, died Thursday, October 14, 1999, at the Jewish Hospital, Louisville. He was born April 27, 1941, in Floyd County, the son of Don Rafliff and Mabel Cole Rafliff of Hunter. He was a retired Army officer and a Vietnam War veteran. In addition to his wife, Nancy Torkelson Ratcliffe, he is survived by his parents. Other survivors include three daughters, Ellen Ratcliffe and Elizabeth Ratcliffe, both of Mt. Sterling, and Cheryl Small of Ft. Payne, Alabama; one brother, Terry D. Ratliff of Hunter; two sisters, Judy Music of Hager Hill, and Karen Smith of Ivel; and two grandchildren. RATLIFF, Bertha

Age 84, of Minnie, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2008, in the McDowell Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was born October 4, 1923, in Langley, the daughter of the late Allen and Mary Ann Lafferty Ratliff. She was a retired schoolteacher having taught for 35 years in the Floyd County School System. She was a graduate of the Maytown High School; she obtained an AB degree and a BA degree at the Morehead State University. She was president of the Kentucky Council of International Reading Association 1980-1981. She was a member of the Maytown Methodist Church from 1974 " 1990, and the Allen Christ United Methodist Church from 1990, to the present. She won the Harry Denman Award in Evangelism in the Kentucky Conference of United Methodist Churches. She was past resource secretary of the Prestonsburg District of United Methodist Women, and currently was serving as secretary of this organization, as well as the local chapter of her church. She served as lay leader of both Maytown and Christ United Methodist Church. She was a member of the McDowell Senior Citizens. She is survived by a brother, Edgel (Joan) Ratliff of Ypsilanti, Michigan; her sisters, Goldia Francis of Russells Point, Ohio; Myrtle Ratliff of Minnie; Lula Bradley of Drift; Shirley Amburgey of Louisa; and Sydney Ratliff of Drift. Also surviving are 19 nephews and 25 nieces and many great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 10 brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 2, at 1:00 p.m. at the Christ United Methodist Church at Allen, with Rev. Kenneth LeMaster officiating. Burial will be in the Davidson Memorial Gardens at Ivel, under the direction of Hall Funeral Home of Martin. Born January 8, 1928, in Garrett, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Clark and Betty Tussey Clark. She was the wife of the late Thomas Franklin "Tuffy" Ratliff. She was a member of the Lebanon Senior Circle and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include one daughter, Virginia (Alvin) Mollett, of Lebanon, Virginia.; two granddaughters, Wendy Mollett, of Johnson City, Tennessee, and Karen (John) Mollett McComas, of Fayetteville, North Carolina; two great-grandsons, Zachary Thomas Mollett, of Johnson City, Tennessee, and Christopher Tyler McComas, of Fayetteville, North Carolina; one sister, Patty Lou Mollette, of David; and, one brother, Billy Ray Clark, of Lexington. She taught 44 years, and was a member of the Maytown Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Ratliff. Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Lenox of Lexington; three grandchildren: Kean Lenox, Linda Lenox, and Wayne Ratliff; and five great-grandchildren: Darby, Cameron, Emily, Zach, and Vanessa. Survivors include two daughters, Alta Sparkman of Willard, Ohio, and Delphia Noble of Shiloh, Ohio; one brother, Frank Vanderpool of Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Mable Timmons of Prestonsburg, and Wanda Hicks of Hueysville; two grandchildren, Derek Sparkman and Rita Waterbeck, and two great-grandchildren, Jason Waterbeck and Derek Shannon Sparkman. He was born June 19, 1951 in Martin, Ky., the son of the late Jimmy Ratliff and Ruby Jewell Jones Ratliff. Mr. Ratliff was a former Parts Clerk for Elkhorn Industrial , a Member and Past Master of John W. Hall Masonic Lodge F & AM 950, 32 Degree Mason, Past District Deputy Grand Master of The Grand Lodge of Kentucky. He was a Charter member of Hadassah Chapter 575, Order of Eastern Star where he was Past Patron, Past Deputy Patron, District 5, a member of the Olieka Shrine, drove the bus for the Shriner's Children's Hospital and was involved with the Shriner's Circus. He was also a member of the Hillbilly Clan #31, Outhouse 2, and a member of the Maytown Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors include two brothers, Charlie Ratliff, Sitka, Ky., and Brian Ratliff, Martin, Ky., three sisters, Reka Wood, Langley, Ky., Reba Yeary, Dwale, Ky., and Karen Akers, Sitka, Kentucky. He married Sadie Slusher in May of 1934; she preceded him in death in 1993. Sanford was a coal miner for 35 years, moving to Michigan in 1962. He also worked for Pickens Plating for seven years. He was a member of the Southern United Baptist Church and United Mine Workers of America. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed walking, gardening and his grandchildren. Age, 81, died at his home in Corydon, Indiana, on Tuesday, June 3, 2008. He attended Western State University, and graduated from the University of Kentucky. He continued graduate work and received a masters degree from Indiana University. He served in the Merchant Marines during WWII, and continued to serve in the U.S. Army, and U.S. Army Reserves, where he retired as a Captain. As a high school art teacher for 30 years, he started his career at South Hopkins High School, continuing at Bardstown High, Nazreth College, and retiring from Corydon Central High. In addition to teaching, he performed at both Stephen Foster The Musical, and Young Abe Lincoln for twenty plus years. He was a proud member of the distinguished organizations: The Kentucky Colonels, as well as the State of Indiana Council of the Sagamores of the Wabash. He is survived by Linda Berry Ray, his wife of 51 years; two sons: Wyman A. Ray of Owensboro; and Warren B. Ray (Melissa) of Louisville. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Carol Johnson. Macon"s life will be celebrated on Sunday evening, June 8, at 7 p.m., at his church, The Corydon Presbyterian Church, 568 Hwy. 62 West, Corydon, Indiana. Age 81, of Beaver, wife of the late Victor Ray, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2003, in the McDowell Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was born June 13, 1921, in Biscuit, the daughter of the late Milford Reynolds and Martha Little Reynolds. She was a homemaker. Survivors include four sons, Larry Donald Ray of Wheelwright, William Darrell Ray and Eddie Dean Ray, both of Beaver, and Keith Allen Ray of Ligon; five daughters, Brenda Faye Newsome and Bertha Tackett, both of Ligon, Patricia Ann Ray of Beaver, Jewelene Tackett of Teaberry, and Wilma Jean Mullins of Price; two brothers, Aaron Reynolds of Gallipolis, Ohio, and Roland Reynolds of Athens, Ohio; one sister, Lizzie McGinnis of Gallipolis, Ohio; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, and parents, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Mary Isaac Reynolds; one son, Roy Dean Ray; two daughters, Gloria Jean Ray and Sherry Gail Ray; and one brother, Earl Reynolds. Survivors include one brother, Leonard Ray of Battle Creek, Michigan; two sisters, Opal Little of Pikeville, Stlvia Howell of Harold; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Age 53, of Beaver, Ky., passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2001, at his residence. He was born May 12, 1948, in Beaver, Ky., the son of the late Edgar Ray and Pearl Reynolds Ray. Mr. Ray was a coal miner. Survivors include four brothers, Gary Lee Ray, Danny Keith Ray, Jimmy Dean Ray, and Edgar Allen Ray, all of Beaver, Ky.; four sisters, Lucille Ray, Anna Gail Ray, Linda Kay Ray, and Dylene Ray, all of Beaver, Ky.; and two nephews, Joshua Dean Ray and Nathanial D. Age, 87, of Centerville, OH passed away September 30, 2007 in Denton, TX. She was born November 2nd, 1920 in Wayland, KY to Monroe and Prudy Collins. She married Tim C. Ream on December 8th, 1943. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to sew and worked at Walmart in Fabric Sales in her later years to share her love of sewing. She is survived by her son Greg Ream of Justin, TX; daughter, Candy Ream of Tioga, TX; sisters, Mary Baldridge and Jean Brink; brothers, Leon Collins and Scott Collins; 5 Grandchildren; and 6 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Tim C. Ream; brothers, Clinton Collins, Charles Collins, Noah Collins, and James Collins. REAMS, Fannie Hunter Wicker

Obituary of FANNIE HUNTER WICKER REAMS - Fannie Reams was born in the Knott County District of Rock Fork near Garrett, Kentucky, on December 22, 1909. She was the fifth child of eleven born to Dan and Julie Hunter. Fannie passed away to be with her Lord and Savior on May 19, 1998, at the home of her daughter Earlie Higgins, near Marengo, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Julie Hunter, seven brothers and three sisters. Also preceding her were her first husband, Bill Wicker, who was shot and killed in March, 1940, after 14 years of marriage and three children; son, Worley, who died in 1985; and infant son, Sam , who died at less than one year of age. Fannie remarried later to Walter Reams, who passe d away in 1969. Fannie is survived by her daughter, Earlie Wicker Higgins, and son-in-law, Carlos Higgins, of Marengo, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Geneva Reynolds Wicker, wife of Worley, of Wabash, Indiana; 2 stepchildren, James Reams of Stevenson, Alabama, and Betty Jo Reams McAllister of Fayetteville, Tennessee. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren , 1 great-great-grandchild, 5 step-great-grandchildren, and 1 step-great-great-grandchild. Fannie is remembered for having a small store and restaurant across the road from the Stumbo Memorial Hospital at Lackey, Kentucky. This was during the late 1930's with her first husband , Bill Wicker, where he was shot and killed in 1940. Fannie later married Walter Reams, and lived there until the late 1950's. She was known and remembered for her helping hand and open heart to her many friends in the area. Fannie, divorced from Walter Reams, ended up at Mt . Sterling, Kentucky, living there until 1992. She then moved to Marengo, Ohio, to live near her daughter, Earlie. While in the Mt. Sterling area, she attended the Mt. Sterling Old Regular Baptist Church regularly, and while in Ohio she was attending the Little Ruth Baptist Church near Marengo, and the Old Regular Baptist Church at Wyandot, Ohio, until her health prevented her from going. Almost two weeks before she passed on to meet her Lord, the Little Ruth congregation met at Fannie's bedside and held their services there in her daughter's home . Following this meeting, she declared to everyone that she was "ready to go home," and a few days later she did that. In the picture with her is her 5-year-old great-grandson, Kendal l Jason Coffman, to whom she was totally devoted and loved dearly. He lived next door and was the last person with whom Fannie spoke, just prior to her falling into a coma and passing on. She is greatly missed and still loved by family and many friends. She was a former teacher for the Floyd County school system; a member of the First United Methodist Church for over 50 years; and local, state and Big Sandy Retired Teachers Associations. She was a nurse's aide at Riverview Manor Nursing Home in Prestonsburg and a member of the Lancer Baptist Church. w/o Johnny Reathefford. Survivors include one daughter, Kathy L. Age, 49, of Prestonsburg, died Tuesday, February 18, 2003, at her residence. Born April 17, 1953, in Lexington, she was the daughter of Phyllis Anderson Hornbaker and step-father, Joe Hornbaker of Prestonsburg, and the late Dr. Harold Redd Jr. She was an attorney; member of the Floyd County Bar Association; Kentucky Bar Association; and a member of the First Christian Church at Paintsville. In addition to her mother and step-father, she is survived by two sisters, Jane Redd of Cincinnati, Ohio and Margaret Redd of Lexington; sister-in-law, Denise Wooton Redd of Hazard; a niece, Rebecca Redd, and a nephew, Robert Redd, both of Hazard. Age, 51, of Prestonsburg, died Saturday, February 8, 2003, at his home. Born in Andhra Pradesh, India, he was the eldest son of Ramakrishna and Janakamma Reddy. He was a recently retired radiologist who worked in eastern Kentucky, since 1983. He is survived by his wife, Dr. Sujatha Reddy of Prestonsburg. Other survivors include one daughter, Prerana Reddy of New York City; three brothers, Prasad Reddy of Pleasanton, California; and Nagi Reddy and Chandrashekar Reddy, both of Phoenix, Arizona. Visitation will be Saturday, February 15, between 6 and 9 p.m., at the Carter Funeral Home in Prestonsburg. Age 77, of Hamilton, went home to be with the Lord, on Friday, January 23, 2004, at 6:25 p.m. at Hospice of Hamilton. He was born in Price, [Floyd County], Kentucky, on September 11, 1926, the son of David and Carrie (Tipton) Reece. George was a press operator at Fisher Body for 31 1/2 years, retiring in 1980. A Navy veteran of WWII, he was a member of Bibleway Missionary Baptist Church. George was a loving husband and father, who enjoyed woodworking and gardening. On November 16, 1946, in Brookville, Indiana, he married Shirley Skeoch. Along with her husband, the late Everett Reynolds, she started E&M Beauty College in Mansfield in 1960. She held cosmetology licenses in several states, including Ohio, Michigan, Florida and Virginia. A member of Good Faith Baptist Church, she was a World War II Air Force veteran. She is survived by a sister, Margaret Speakman of Marion; two step-grandchildren, and several step-great-grandchildren. He was born July 7, 1917, in Garrett, the son of the late Everett Hampton Richmond Sr., and Grace Wolfe Richmond. He was self-employed, a member of the Montgomery Baptist Church, at Carrie, and Zebulon Masonic Lodge, No. 273, Prestonsburg. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Steven Brian Richmond of Lexington; one daughter, Linda Kay Richmond Salisbury, (Bill) of Langley; one daughter-in-law, Donna Richmond of Vienna, Ohio, and four grandchildren, William Salisbury, Jonathan Salisbury, Lance Richmond and Kaitylyn Richmond. He was preceded in death by one son, Robert Joseph Richmond. Age, 80, of Pikeville, passed away Monday, January 15, 2007, at the Pikeville Medical Center. She was born January 30, 1926, in Louisa, Lawrence County, the second daughter of Wade H. Muncy and Esta Jane Prince Muncy. She graduated from Daviess County High School and Kentucky Wesleyan College. After college, she was a social worker for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. It was during this time she met and married Oliver M. Roberts on December 24, 1947. Violet was recruited to teach the Head Start pilot program in Pike County, an educational opportunity which proved to be a great success. Violet loved her family. She worked with her husband in the development and expansion of natural gas resources in this area through the Oliver Roberts Drilling Company. She was an active member of the First Christian Church, Pikeville. Her husband, Oliver M. Roberts, preceded her in death. She is survived by four sons: Dr. Oliver W. Roberts of Florida, and Robert S. Roberts, Howard V. Roberts, and Randall L. Roberts, all of Pikeville; five grandchildren: Lane Roberts Jones, Prewitt Roberts, Chad Roberts, Nicholas Roberts, and Thomas Roberts; and one brother, Wade Muncy. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 19, at 11 a.m., at the First Christian Church, Pikeville, with Rev. Age, 55, of Meridan, Mississippi, formerly of Floyd County, passed away, Friday, September 24th, 2004, at a local hospital, following a brief illness. He was the son of the late Glen Dalton and Pauline Robinette. He was born on December 23, 1948, in Portsmouth, Virginia, and was raised on Prater Creek in Floyd County. He retired from the United States Navy after 23 years service. He also served in the Vietnam War. While serving his country, he received two Purple Heart medals. He was an active officer of the Virginia Beach Auxiliary Police Department, and was presently working for Canon ITS, as a computer technician. He is survived by his wife, Denise Ward Robinette; two sons: Jerry (Dayno) Wayne Robinette II, of Meridian, Mississippi; Scott (Nikki) D. Robinette of Virginia Beach, Virginia; three daughters: Shawntel Leigh (Johnny) Ray of Wheelwright; Robin Lynn (Virgil Jr.) Slone of Hi Hat, Paulena (Lee) Summer of Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico; one sister, Tina Goble of Pikeville; eight grandchildren: Kyle, Cody, Corey, Meshana, Wesley, Jason, Lillie, and Jessie. He was preceded in death by both parents, and his brother, Michael Robinette. He was a retired maintenance worker for the Floyd County Board of Education. Survivors include three sisters: Ida Mae Dotson of Akron, Indiana, Alma Wadkins of Mentone, Indiana, and Eliza Dotson of Prestonsburg; and a special niece, Charlotte Crum of Prestonsburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers: Woodrow Robinson, Henry Robinson, Floyd Robinson, Bill Jack Robinson, Bob Robinson, and George Robinson; and two sisters: Minerva Wadkins and Mary Robinson. Age, 52, of Melvin, died Saturday, November 4, 2000, at his residence. Born on November 23, 1947, in Floyd County, he was the son of the late Leslie and Thelma Collins Rowe. He was a disabled mechanic. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Caldwell Rowe. Age 86, of Prestonsburg, Ky., passed away Monday, April 1, 2002, at the Riverview Manor Nursing Home in Prestonsburg, Ky., after an extended illness. She was born September 23, 1915, at Water Gap, Ky., a daughter of the late Seymour & Annie (Lafferty) Gray. She was first married to Toy Sammons, who preceded her in death. She later married Rev. Charley Rowe, who also preceded her in death. She was a grocery merchant and head dieticians at Prestonsburg Hospital. She was a cook at the Prestonsburg High School, a member of the Goble-Roberts Community Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Jay Sammons, and John D. Sammons, both of Prestonsburg, Ky.; and two daughters, Toy Ann Readon of Shelbyville, Ky., Libby Owens of Prestonsburg, Ky.; three step-sons, James Rowe of Lexington, Ky., Roger Rowe, and Jack Rowe, both of Prestonsburg, Ky.; four step-daughters, Dorothy Day of Lake Placid, Fla., Ruth Bridget of Fla., Grace Woody of Prestonsburg, Ky., Sylvia Mosley of Clarksville, Tenn.; one brother, Charles Gray of Prestonsburg, Ky.; a host of grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one step-son, Charles C. Rowe of Clarksville, Tennessee. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, April 4, 2002, at 1 p.m., from the Goble-Roberts Community Freewill Baptist Church, with Joey Sammons, and Rev. Paul David Coleman officiating. Age, 74, of McDowell, husband of the late Alpha Marie Justice Rowe, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2003, in Plymouth, Ohio. He was born December 30, 1928, in Pikeville, the son of the late Hasten Rowe and Nervie Dutton Rowe. He was a retired Chrysler Motor Company employee. Survivors include three sons, Eddie Ray Rowe of Ashland, Richard Rowe of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Mark Kevin Wade of Paducah; three daughters, Paula Ethel Tackett of Willard, Ohio, Fayetta Tackett, and Lois Elane Hall, both of Plymouth, Ohio; 11 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, and parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Perry Rowe and Randal Keith Rowe. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, May 25, at the Little Rosa Old Regular Baptist Church of the New Salem Association, at McDowell, with Old Regular Baptist ministers officiating. Born April 10, 1948, in Pikeville, he was the son of the late Roscoe and Hazel Bartley Rowe. He was an auto body mechanic and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Era. Survivors include a daughter, Ashley Nicole Price of Harold; a brother, James Bartley of Indiana; and a grandson, Daniel McArthur Price Jr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Larry Edward Rowe. Funeral services were held Thursday, April 12, at 11 a.m., at the Toler Creek Freewill Baptist Church, in Harold, with Roy Spears officiating. Age, 69, of Raceland, went to be with the Lord on Thursday morning, April 28, 2005, following an extended illness at King's Daughter's Medical Center. She was born September 26, 1935, in Flatwoods, a daughter of the late Howard and Clara Markin Tackett. She was a loving mother and homemaker who had dedicated her life to her family and helping others. She was a member of the Raceland First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Allen Rowe; four brothers: Elzie Tackett, Ed Tackett, Luther Tackett and Donald Tackett and one sister, Lucille Stephenson. Survivors include two sisters: Florence White of Alexandria, Virginia, and Louise Hensley of Flatwoods; three sons: Bobby (Beth) Rowe of Prestonsburg, Donnie (Robin) Rowe of Greenup, John (Angie) Rowe of Raceland; one daughter, Suzanne (Alan) Porter of Summitt; five granddaughters, Celina Rowe, Katelynd Porter, Paige Porter, Allison Rowe and Raven Fraley; four grandsons: Aaron Rowe, Dustin Rowe, Luke Porter, and Jacob Fraley.
