February 16, 2004 Journal News, Hamilton, Ohio Susie M. Flynn Susie M. Flynn, age 95, of Hamilton, passed away in Ft. Hamilton Hospital on Saturday, February 14, 2004, at 3:10 p.m. She was born in Irvine, [Estill County], Kentucky, on January 9, 1909, the daughter of Edgar and Mary Elizabeth (Cox) Flynn. Susie was employed in Housekeeping for Ft. Hamilton Hospital for fourteen years, retiring in 1973. She is survived by one daughter, Mary and her husband Levi Phelps of Hamilton; one brother, Raymond (Catherine) Flynn of Broadhead, Kentucky; two granddaughters, Virginia Phelps and Dorothy (Charlie) Athey both of Hamilton; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Floyd, Loyd and Harlan Flynn. Funeral services will be held at the Brown Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Tuesday, February 17, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Randy Coffey of Victory Pentecostal Church officiating. Burial will be in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The family requests memorials to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. |
