Floyd W. Bicknell

Floyd W. Bicknell, 87, of Franklin, Ohio, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003, at Sycamore Medical Center.

He was born in Estill County, Ky., on April 14, 1915, the son of James and Lillie (Kindred) Bicknell. He married Vivian (Webb) Bicknell on Nov. 18, 1936, and was employed by General Motors for 28 years, retiring in 1974.

He was a faithful servant of the Lord and served as a deacon of the Franklin Baptist Church for many years.

His wife of 66 years, Vivian Bicknell, survives.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, H.L. Bicknell and Leonard, Estil, Clyde and Clark Bicknell; and three sisters, Inez White, Avis Richardson and Elon Gentry.

ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept.15, at the Franklin Baptist Church, 160 Deardoff Road, Franklin, with Dr. Dale Chambers officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park.
