Directions:  Beginning on the front steps of the Estill County Court House, go right onto Main Street, continue north on hwy. 89 out of Irvine, turn right onto Rd. # 1705 – White Oak Road. Continue on White Oak Road until you come to the White Oak Church on the left. Pass the church and then pass McDowell Cemetery Ln. on right, staying on White Oak Road for about 3 to 4 more miles. The road comes into a straight stretch. On the right is an empty lot with a red cattle gate at the end of it and a gravel road heading up a steep hill. The cemetery is at the top of the hill. It is the only place the road leads to. The cemetery is fenced in. You have to watch for the gate or you will miss it.
