Lewis Martin Will

I, Lewis Martin of the County of Caldwell and State of Kentucky being in feeble health, but of sound mind and disposing memory do hereby make and declare this to be my last will and Testament, hereby annulling and revoking all others and former wills made by myself.
First - It is my will and desire that my remaining personal property, consisting of my bed stead bed and furniture and bureau, be sold by my executor thereinafter named so soon as convenient after my demise.
Second - It is my wish that my said executor to pay all my debts and funeral expenses.
Third - I will and bequeath to my son Wm. H. Martin, One Hundred Dollars to be paid to him by my executor.
Fourth - Whereas I have heretofore distributed my landed estate between my children respectively, the balance of my estate, consisting of money & cash notes which I wish to pass into the hands of my executor hereinafter named, and after paying my just debts and funeral expenses and the bequest above refered, to the remaining balance of my estate I wish equally divided between my following named children, E. M. Martin, Jane Gray, Lucretia Satterfield and Alcie Chambers.
Fifth - It is my will that no unjust accounts be allowed against my estate whether presented by any of my children or any other person.
Sixth - It is my will and desire that if any of my children attempt to break this will, they are to forfeit their intrest in my estate and receive nothing under this will.
Seventh - I hereby Appoint G. C. Dudley of Princeton, Ky. the Executor of this my last will and testament.

Codicil - 17 May 1874

I hereby make and declare this a codicil or correction of my will as above set forth .
To wit - I hereby revoke and declare void the third clause in my will as above set forth and the clause so amend as to embrace the name of my son William H. Martin an equal distributee of my estate as my wish is to distribute my estate equally and with exact justice amongst all and each of my children .
