Tom is a splendid young fellow, and deserves an excellently good wife, which we are assured, he has gained. The happy couple have our sincerest wishes for all the happiness that earth can bestow, and a happy home beyond this earthly probation."

"Cards are out announcing the marriage of Mr. Thomas Mayfield
and Miss Kathrine Cox, on Christmas day, at 2 o'clock, at the
home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Cox in the
Slick Rock country. Mr. Mayfield is the son of Mr. Isaac
Mayfield on Beaver creek, and is a prosperous young farmer
with fine prospects. His bride-to-be, is a most charming young
lady and is a belle in her section. They are among the best
young people in their section, and have a host of friends to
wish them ahappy and joyous journey through life."

"Married, Mr. R. B. Evans, was married to Mrs. Mary Trabue, yesterday evening, by Eld. N. G. Terry, at Major Brent's residence, at 7 o'clock. We only had time to announce the marriage, and to wish a world of happiness to Bruce and his handsome wife."

FARRIS-WHITE ~
"One of the prettiest home-weddings that has been solemnized in the Glasgow Junction portion of the county for sometime was the marriage of Miss Nannie White, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. John B. White, to Mr. Will Farris, which took place at the home of the bridge last Wednesday evening at 4:30 o'clock. Rev. Couch, of the Christian church, united the happy couple. The attandants were Mr. George King and Miss Lelia Sink; Mr Eugene White and Miss Lizzie Parr, of White Mills, Ky. Immediately after the ceremony, the wedding party repaired to the homeof the groom's father, Mr. W.S. Farris where a grand reception was tendered them.

"Mr. Farris is a member of the firm of Farris & Bro, and is an excellent young man, while the his [sic] bride is a young lady of many attractions and accomplishments.

"A large number of frriends and relatives were present at the marriage and many nice presents were received."

"Mr. J. W. Scott and Miss Claudia Gillock - two well known and popular young people of the Austin country - were married yesterday. Mr. Scott is a clever, well-to-do and popular young farmer, while Miss Gillock is the attractive daughter of Mr. Haiden Gillock, a prominent and excellent citizen of the Austin country. The young couple have ahost of friends who will most heartily congratulate them on their wedding."
