Thomas Scott to Isaac Moore and Robert McGown/McCown
5 February 1833


This Indenture made this 5th February 1833 between Thomas Scott & Susan his wife of the one part and Robert McGown and Isaac Moore of the other part, altogether that the Said Thomas Scott and Susan his wife for and in consideration of the Sum Eighty One Dollars twenty five to have in hand paid the Receipt Whereof is hereby acknowledged here this day bargained and Sold to the said Robert McGown & Isaac Moore a certain tract or parcel of land it being the same tract Deeded to me by Robert Majors and the same One which I now live in Barren County Kentucky & is bounded as follows Beginning at a White Oak Black Oak & hickory (the hickory now clear) Samuel Teolls Beginning Corner thence 120 E 66 poles a large Black Oak & Chestnut in a line of John Nelsons apex of Adam Ruge, thence with his line N 54 W 100 poles to his Corner White Oak hickory & Dogwood thence N 37 W 120 poles to a Post Oak at the edge of one Otis Field a conditional corner thence with a conditional line S 5 W 65 poles along the Old Road to a Rock in One of the original lines thence with the source S 70 E 200 poles to the Beginning including one hundred acres to the Isaac Moore (?). To have and to hold the aforesaid land and premises (?) the said Robert McGown & Isaac Moore these heirs forever. The said Thomas Scott and Susan his wife doth & will (?) and forever Defend the aforesaid bargained land and premises for himself, his heirs and assigns and from all & every other person or persons whatsoever. In receipts whereof the said Thomas Scott and Susan his wife have hereunto set their hands and seal this day and Date above written.

Barren County Court Clerks office To wit:
I William Logan an clerk of the county court for said County do certify that the forgoing & written Deed of Conveyance from Thomas Scott wife to Robert MCGown & Isaac Moore was on the 18th day of February 1833 acknowledged before me by the said Thomas Scott to be his act & Deed whereupon the aforesaid Deed and this certificate hath been Duly admitted to Record in my office.
