1900 to: Jasper Shirley from: George McCoy et al

This Indenture made and entered into by and between George C. McCoy and his wife Mattie T. McCoy and also John McCoy and his wife Tabitha McCoy, parties of the first part Jasper Shirley of the second part, County of Barren and State of Ky. Witnesseth: that for and in consideration of the sum of #150oo One Hundred and fifty dollars, fifty dollars paid cash in hand the reciept of which is hereby acknowledged and the remainder One Hundred dollars to be paid on or before the 25 day of Dec 1900 to parties of the first part have bargained and sold and by this deed do bargain, sell and convey unto the second party and heirs and assigns forever the following described tract or parcel of land: Begin- ing on a black oak stump and hickory Swanagan's corner, then E. 76 poles to a chestnut & dogwood then S. 50 poles to some small dogwoods near a burnt tree, then West 86 poles to some dogwoods marked with a knife in Nichols line, then N. 10 E. 50 poles to the begining, containing 25 acres this being the same land that was deeded to Geo. W. Mauk & S. C. Carter the object of this deed is to convey to the second party herein the one half of this tract of land the other halfinterest own McCoys to Sam Moody, parties of the first part ----? and relinquish all right title they have or may have of dower or homestead exemption this the 6 day of Aug 1900
