Barren County KY Deeds

For and in consideration that PRESLEY SMITH is to maintain me during my life, to furnish me with house room lodging boarding and washing and decent and comfortable clothing all which the said SMITH hereby agress and binds himself to do, I hereby sell and convey unto the said SMITH all my right title and interest in and to the estate of WILLIAM CARTER deceased being the one undivided 9th part of said estate which consists of land lying and being in Barren County Kentucky. Supposed to contain 246 acres the title which I hereby bind myself to forever warrant and defend unto said PRESLY SMITH his heirs and assigns forever witness our names this 4th Nov. 1863
