John Walker Jett
John Walker Jett (b. 30 May 1840) m. Sarah J. Baxter (b. Apr 1849), dau of Reubin and Anna Baxter, on 4 Dec 1877 in Anderson County (page 241). My copy of the record came from the KY Dept of Libraries and Archives. John (d. 18 June 1916) at Cliffside, Woodford, KY and is buried in Frankfort Cem., Sect: O. Sarah died some time after Dec. 1877 (I assume in Anderson Co.)
John Walker Jett is also a civil war veteran (confederate) and drew a pension from the state of KY, number 765--filed 29 Aug 1912, approved 10 Dec 1912. He was in Co 1, 2nd Infantry Regiment, was a POW and wounded on 31 Aug 1864 at Jonesboro, GA.
