This is a hand written history for one of the Brown Families of Allen County Kentucky. The Author is unknown. The information was obtained while researching at the Allen County Historical Society and has been transcribed exactly as it was written. There are parts that are very light and cannot be read very well. These are indicated with ( ) parenthesis and a question mark ?  Misspelled words are as written, and additional information on an individual has also been noted in ( ) parenthesis.  The original document is maintained at the Allen County Historical Society in Scottsville, Kentucky.   The index has been altered from the original to reflect alphabetical order of entries.

Drury Brown brother Wiley Brown and sister Rebecca Brown Watson moved their families from N.C. to Allen County KY about 1800

Drury located about 4 miles S.E. of Scottsville

Wiley Brown located about 8 mils S. E. of Scottsville on Long Creek
Rebecca and husband died early in life leaving a daughter Lucinda Watson about 12 or 13 years old.  Lucinda’s cousin, a son of Wiley, carried her to his home where she lived until she married Joe Tracy.

Joseph “Joe” Tracy b. 7-24-1816; d. 5-30-1883
They are buried at Salem.  See notes on Isaac Tracy family.
